Can you believe it is May already? No better way to celebrate our 4 years in
business than by having a new trunk show
and our birthday sale!
Our trunk show this month is Associated Talents. They have some absolutely wonderful canvases
that cover just about everything. Go to
my website www.wasteknotneedlepoint.com and
click on their link for a preview. All
trunk show canvases will be discounted 15%.
For our birthday sale, we will offer 20 % off of all threads
and canvases in stock. This will not
apply to the trunk show or special orders.
The sale will begin at 10am on Thursday May 10th and run through
Saturday May 12th. The items
will be on a first come first serve basis.
If you can't make it into the shop, feel free to call with a credit
card. Due to the popularity of our sale
and the volume, we will only be able to help pull threads for canvases that
have been purchased in our shop and even that will depend on the volume of
people in the shop. We will be glad to
give a perusal and give suggestions for shop canvases.
As many know, we are discontinuing our Paternayan. For the sale we will be offering our 8 yard skeins at 25 cents each. We are also going to be discontinuing our
Trio thread to make room for some Planet Earth Fibers. We will be offering all Trio at 50% off. They are the same colors and make as the Silk
and Ivory but need to be plied. They are
perfect on an 18 mesh canvas.
Don't forget to check out the Woodlawn needlework show. It will run from 5/12 to 6/10/12. They will be closed on Tuesdays and the tea
room will be closed on Thursdays. Check

taught by Suzanne Howren and Beth Robertson on June 3rd. It will run from 10am to 5pm and include lunch. Our classes do fill up quickly so call soon

reserve a spot.
FYI, we will be open Memorial Day weekend but will be closed
on Memorial Day Monday.

Our April trunk show has arrived! The Studio Midwest toppers are absolutely adorable and work up quickly. For a preview of the canvases you can go to www.thestudiokc.com/midwest/toppers . We also have some models at the shop. All trunk show canvases will be discounted 15%. The show will go home on April 23rd so drop by soon!
The Woodlawn Needlework show has been rescheduled to open Mother’s Day weekend and run through June 10th. They will be closed on Tuesdays. If there is a piece you have worked through us and would like to exhibit under our name, we will be taking the pieces April 21st to the 26th. Due to limited storage at the shop, we unfortunately cannot hold your pieces any earlier. Woodlawn will also have an individual drop off weekend date of April 28th. We have added a couple of classes to our calendar. Our beginner sampler classes will begin May 5th and run every other weekend for 3 weekends. We also have our polar bears class back as a one day class from 10am to 1:30pm on Saturday, July 14th. Back by popular demand, Suzanne Howren and Beth Robertson will also be back for our all day class teaching stitches for Baskets on June 3rd. It will run from 10am to 5pm and include lunch. My error on our trunk show calendar, but better earlier than
never. The Charlie Harper trunk show is
now at the shop. He has a fun assortment
of animals with a geometric flair.

The CanvasWorks and Betty Smith Designs trunk show has arrived. They carry a large assortment of Persian rug designs, animals, crosses, rugs, stockings and florals. They are stunning! All trunk show canvases will be discounted 15%.
The Woodlawn Needlework show has been rescheduled for May and June. The opening weekend will be Mother’s Day weekend through June 10th. We will be taking the shop pieces in on April 27th. If you have a canvas that you have worked through us and would like to show under Waste Knot Needlepoint, please drop your piece or pieces off at the shop between April 23rd and April 26th. Due to limited storage space and the fear of pieces being damaged. we can’t take your pieces any sooner. Please check the Woodlawn website for more specifics and drop off dates if you would prefer deliver your piece in person.
I just got back from the Phoenix needlework show and it was impressive! I bought a lot of new canvases, books and threads! They are arriving at the shop daily. Drop by to see what’s new!
Many of our classes are now filled. We still have a few spots for our classes “Stitching with Ruth” and will be rescheduling our Halloween Shoe class for sometime in April. Please call the shop or drop by to sign up.

Our Mindy Trunk show is now at the shop. Make sure to drop by and see her canvases. They are amazing and she as sent a large assortment. All trunk show canvases will be 15% off.
Our classes are now listed on the website under our class calendar. Please be sure to sign up early as classes do fill up quickly. I was able to get the photos listed on our Facebook page. Just click on our Facebook link on our home page and it should take you directly to our page. Also feel free to "like" us for future news. I'm trying to get better as posting more info and photos.
We are doing another club! It is an adorable Raymond Crawford Santa series. There are a total of 5 canvases and they are 2 1/2" by 5". They are absolutely adorable. The wonderful stitch guide is done by Diana Bosworth. Canvases will be $47.50 each and the stitch guide is $30 for the entire series. It can be ordered with or without threads. It will hopefully begin in March. Can't wait to get them in. I'll post a picture on our Facebook page or you can go to Raymond Crawford's website for a closer look. We also have a photo at the shop. They are cute, cute, cute!!
The last I heard was that the Woodlawn show would not be going forward in March due to work being done on the house but now I've heard that it now may go forward. I'll post more info once I get a more definitive answer. You can also check the Woodlawn website for possible updates.
I will be going to the Phoenix market in 2 weeks. Please call the shop if there is anything in particular you want me to order for you. I'm excited to see what is new and take some new classes!
